the Pillars of Hercules
In Greek mythology, Hercules, the son of Zeus, was given the task of retrieving the cattle of Geryon, a three-headed monster. To reach his destination, Hercules had to pass through the Strait of Gibraltar, which was considered the edge of the known world. According to the myth, Hercules created the Pillars by using his strength to separate the mountains on either side of the strait. The Pillars became a symbol of his incredible power and were later considered the border of the Mediterranean world.

When you arrive at the beautiful location of this breathtaking and inspiring journey, one thing will strike you: the mysticism. There is an atmosphere of old stories and a lot of history. The Strait of Gibraltar has a rich history and the mountains of North Africa were seen as the 'The Other World. There is a beautiful place where I take you to where you go to the very southernmost point of Europe. From there you look out over the endless rocks and sea and you are back in time for a moment.
